Point Fifty in the Nifty-Fifty

Man, do I miss flying the Cessna 150. I recently moved back to school in Longview, TX and have found an immaculate Cessna 150J to fly out of Fox-Stephens Field (JXI) in Gilmer, TX. Today was my first flight in a 150 in 7 months and I spent .50(Point Fifty) doing some touch n gos to get current again and to spend some time getting acquainted with the new plane. It was like a father being reunited with his son who had been away for months. It was a beautiful morning to be in the traffic pattern. I was even joined by the buzzards of east Texas and it felt so natural to be back in the sky. I haven't been to heaven yet, but I know the sight from amongst the clouds is as close as I have been. Thank you God for such a beautiful creation!
