Terrell, TX is located just east of the Dallas area and was home to the No. 1 British Flying Training School. The entire city of Terrell put together the fly-in this year and it was a great event. I flew over in 316PC for my first cross country in the plane. It was a great day for flying and the cool weather provided great performance. While at Terrell I met Dan for the first time in person. Dan owns and flies a Varieze and he got me my first ride while at the fly-in. The varieze is a uniquely manueverable airplane and it was a great flight. Later on in the day I met a few friends from houstonpilots in person for the first time as well. They are great guys and they are associated with the 1940 Air Terminal Museum at Houston Hobby (HOU) and are currently raffling tickets for a 1958 Cessna Skylark. For more info about the 1940 Air Terminal Museum visit their website at 1940 Air Terminal Museum. It was a great weekend full of aviation and the meeting of more great friends.
Thanks to Blair McFarlain of Houston Spotters for the photo.
