Diamond in the Sky
With a little over five hours in a new aircraft I figured it was time to post what I like about the Diamond DA20 Katana. The Katana is a great cross country airplane for two people or solo. This is just what my last flight in the Katana consisted of. I snuck out of Tulsa for a 40 minute flight down to Norman to have lunch with Patrick. This was a unique flight as it was the first time I had flown the DA20 alone and the ground beneath was covered in snow. It was a decent day for flying and was the first period of decent weather after the winter storm we experienced in northeast Oklahoma. The Diamond is a great plane and cruises at about 130 knots and has a great view through the large, unrestricted canopy.
